Enjoyment – For Yours Truly is the Kingdom and all the Power and Glory!

This is the last of this series of entries of my study of the Lord’s Prayer.

“Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory. Amen” is not part of original Scripture, but was added as a Doxology when The Lord’s Prayer was translated from Greek. Many congregations use it today. It is meant to conclude the prayer with acclamation of God’s greatness. Today, I feel like giving our Father a standing ovation, and shouting my own form of exaltation!

How Greatly the Father Blesses

Holy God, my Father (!!), our Papa! I am on-my-knees awestruck by You, by Who You are and by Whose I am! By all that You do for me, for all of us Your Children, for all of Creation!! Yours is all the power, all the Authority, all the glory! Yours is the most glorious Kingdom, its way throughout all the ages and ages to come, right in this moment, all the nows, and forever forward and forever after that! So it is – and so it is always going to be because You love us beyond all understanding and description!

Praise and glory to you – there is no end to You, to your Love!

YES! – forever “Yes!” I sing from my lips, from my heart, from my soul, and from my spirit!!

“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'”
(Matthew 6: 9-13, New International Version)
